Implement the CSRD (particularly ESRS 5) and become a pioneer in the circular economy
We helped Europe's 3rd-largest airport group to implement its CSRD policy and select its material challenges. Among these challenges, the ESRS E5 standard on the circular economy requires companies to be more transparent in their management of material resources.
The Groupe aéroportuaire has voluntarily committed to an ambitious circular economy strategy in order to be a pioneer in its sector.
Support in place
To help the airport group achieve its ambitions, we carried out a flow assessment, proposed a circular economy policy with several levels of ambition, and carried out an opportunity study for the creation of a physical reuse site.
- Mapping of incoming (purchases) and outgoing (sales, donations, waste) material flows
- Flow-by-flow impact analysis based on the CSRD approach (assessment of impact as well as risks and opportunities)
- Definition of 3 levels of ambition for the Group's circular economy strategy (each level is broken down into commitments and actions)
- Modelling of financial impacts (OPEX, CAPEX, avoided purchases, revenues, carbon valuation) over 5 years for each level of ambition.
- Diagnosis of existing reuse initiatives; Identification of reuse potential by identified source: tonnage generated, resale price, etc.,...
- Identification of sites likely to host a reuse center Construction of a scenario-based business plan
The results
And tomorrow?
Eurogroup Consulting is now rolling out the first experiments in inter-departmental regulation. This approach consists of organizing "solidarity" between departmental platforms in the event of an overload of activity or a specific difficulty (platform crash, etc.).
