Our job is also to reflect, decipher and share. Here you'll find our analyses, our convictions and our short formats.

The first half of 2025 confirmed a fragile economic environment. The OCDE projects global growth at 2.9% this year (after 3.1% in 2024), but trajectories diverge: a US rebound (+3.8% in Q2), modest recovery in Europe (+1.6%), limited growth in the UK (+0.3% in Q2), and emerging markets under pressure from new US tariffs (effective average rate at 18.6%, the highest since 1933).
In 2024, the global economy has shown remarkable resilience in its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Certain global macroeconomic indicators such as inflation and economic growth rates are projected to remain favourable towards the end of 2024, but growth continues to be dampened and uneven across geographies.
The European banking sector has been given the insurmountable task of reconciling rising inflationary pressures, increasing interest rates, and liquidity woes with improving the baseline financial performance of their respective institutions. This report provides insights into the performance of European banks and a snapshot of how ESG can stimulate the long-term performance of the sector.
